Q: We are hearing that the US Senate Judiciary Committee is thinking of an immigration bill to hike the H1-B visa quota from the current 65,000 to 115,000 annually. Bill Gates is also lobbying for it. When this would happen? 

A: Any bill must first go through the Senate Judiciary Committee, and be passed by them, then sent to the full Senate for review, amendment and vote, and then it must go through the reconciliation process with the House of Representatives.
